To me, the last few Fetish Friday posts I’ve done have been relatively “normal”. I wanted to shake things up a bit, so this week I decided to write about spectrophilia.

Spectrophilia is interesting because it describes a sexual attraction to spirits or ghosts. Of course, not everyone believes in ghosts, so this fetish is bound to stir up some philosophical discussion. Or at least I hope it does. I think spectrophilia has its roots in religion. 

Most religions have their own stories relating to spectrophilia. I’m pretty sure everyone has heard of incubi and succubi. These are usually demons or spirits (male and female, respectively) that have sex with a sleeping human. 

The most common fantasy in terms of spectrophilia is the thought of essentially being raped by, and in some cases, impregnated by a ghost.
